With a population close to one million, Cincinnati is a city of culture and attractions. Both for high-end tourists and the typical family oriented travelers, Cincinnati shows its essence, history and decorations in its many museums and monuments.

The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is the second oldest garden of its kind in the country. It draws more than one million visitors every year.

The Contemporary Arts Center was dubbed "the most essential building to have been finished since the end of the Cold War" by the New York Times. Standing on the edge of the avant-garde, the Contemporary Arts Center attracts children, teachers, parents, and artists with its innovation appealing to many levels of understanding.

The city prides itself on its abolitionist history, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center shows this pride most by exhibiting the unpleasant past into the present with three buildings of education and as witness in the fight for the biggest flaw in our nation's history to end.

The must-see attraction in the city is perhaps the Cincinnati Art Museum, which has been in business and expansion since 1886 renovation, after the Second World War brought the museum into the ranks of top arts centers in the world, making Ohio the greatest artistic museum in the state. As a repository of tens of thousands of masterpieces, the Cincinnati Art Museum itself is a magnet for visitors to the city.

The city has a rich history when it comes to music. Traveling to the city would not look complete without a trip to the acclaimed Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops in the season at their home on the beautiful historic Music Hall or the Pops in their summer house in Riverbend. If you want to go on a weekender, Cincinnati holds one of the most cherished May festivals in the country, usually held in mid-May.
