Trip Blip: Grab a Po Boy at Cafe Maspero

Don't kid yourself if you've ever been to New Orleans and you knew where the best restaurants are. Chances are your Big Easy I.Q. is not going to beat the common bystander looking like Zach Galifianakis

I honestly thought I was in Las Vegas but got a reality check. We were trying to figure out where to eat and not walk too far anymore because I was wearing heels (what else?) when suddenly Zach comes around and says try Cafe Maspero. It's "cheap, delicious, and it's just around the corner."

He was not bullshitting. We stopped by there the next (Ralph and Kacoo's was the closest seafood place, apparently) and ate some shrimp po boys. I can definitely say it's not so much the food but the customer service. The waitress looked like she can serve us gumbo and jambalaya with her eyes closed. She looked so worn out but so cool. Cafe Maspero's was after all, in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter and shopping district, and they know what they're doing. They serve po boys and whatchamacallits daily. In one of New Orleans' family-friendly restaurants, no one will feel out of place.
