Say Goodbye to Pelican Point

No word on whether they will reopen once more or no more. Needless to say, Joe and I found ourselves off-roading at Pelican Point Golf Course. It's such a sad sight to behold that the golf course we came for is no longer in operation. The green is left barren, the foliage is haywire. Ironically, the water jugs are still full.

It's either politics or just the government adjusting the funding for the military. We do know for sure that one of the best things to do in Florida is play golf -- so one less golf course open is not great news. The Pelican Point is a gorgeous tropical course sitting right next to the beach at Tyndall Air Force Base. We will miss it a lot. And the alligator that lives by the course pond will be very lonely indeed.
